Semester registration fee: $10/student (ages 5+), limit $30/family, a building fee to pay or donate to the building for their utilities and supply costs. Each class or club may have a supply fee, which covers the entire semester as well.  You must first join REACH ($15 per year per family) in order to register for co-op.

Fall 2017 Schedule

  11-12:30p.m. Class Descriptions

Tot time every week – birth to age 4
All day mixture of P.E., yoga, reading, craft, math, numbers, ABC’s, and whatever else us mom’s come up with to occupy their busy learning minds.
Parents will need to bring snacks for their child (ren) and a bottle or cup as well as adequate diapers/pull ups or change of clothes if new to using the potty.
This is a parent run class.   Of course, you are welcome to wear your little one when helping with the older ages.

Harry Potter Club: A weeks – ages 6+
We will be enjoying Harry Potter, The Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling.  This novel introduces us to Harry Potter, the wizarding world, Hogwarts, Muggles and many other magical things and ideas.  We will be exploring Harry Potter’s world through Hogwarts classes – Charms, Potions, Herbology, Magical Creatures, and more.  This will be a hands- on class with experiments, crafts, and games.  Students will receive their “official” letter to Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Prerequisite:  Students can read the book, have a parent read the book, listen to an audible book or watch the movie.
Controversial issues:  None anticipated
Parent involvement: Parents are welcome to assist especially our younger students.  We will be using hot glue guns
Teaching style: Hands on, eclectic

Art  B weeks – ages 5-17
We will be exploring art by learning about the great artist and imitating their work and styles.  Students will be using a variety of art materials with a hands on approach.  Students are encouraged to express themselves through their artwork and encouraged to do their very best no matter what their ability level.

Come play with us! We will play with toys, read stories, play games, dance to music and have arts and crafts while older siblings attend classes. If weather permits, we will play on the playground.
Parents will need to bring snacks for their child (ren) and a bottle or cup as well as adequate diapers/pull ups or change of clothes if new to using the potty.
This is a parent run class.   Of course, you are welcome to wear your little one when helping with the older ages.

STEAM club – every week  – ages 5-12
Each week, we’ll explore part of the STEAM acronym.  We will play math games, do experiments, and learn everything STEAM related!  We will have a weekly schedule at open house for people to sign up.

Controversial issues: Safety when working with possible toxic or sharp materials. By toxic, we mean borax and glue for making slime.
Parent involvement: This is a parent rotation club, not taught by an instructor. Parents will need to assist with or lead at least one activity. We will set up a schedule for parents to sign up which week(s) they will be assisting and/or leading.
Teaching style: Hands on, interactive and collaborative
World View: Neutral
Class maximum:  25, students may join at any time after the first meeting

ABCs of Nature every other week; A week ages 5-12
Students will be learning all about nature.  This semester we will be learning about animals – penguins and polar bears, streamlined sharks and fragile seashells, leaping frogs and fluttering butterflies-such is the diversity of creatures that make up the animal kingdom  Beautiful and bizarre, each one is ideally equipped for it’s own way of life.
