Kalmia Garden Guided Tour with Dan Hill
Located on the bluffs of Black Creek, Kalmia Gardens is on the site of the early 19th-century plantation of Capt. E. Hart for whom Hartsville is named. The Hart House is also the oldest house in Hartsville, SC. A nature educator will guide our group along the walking trails explore a blackwater swamp, laurel thickets and pine, oak and holly upland.

Dress for the outdoor forecast and bring essentials like water, sunscreen, bug repellant, hats and sturdy walking footwear.

Space is limited, so if you cannot attend, let us know so we can make room for someone on the waitlist. No-shows who have not canceled will be designated to the waitlist for future events.

If you have children that are 10 and under, please explore the grounds on your own self-guided tour. Just meet back at the end time to pick up your older participants and enjoy a picnic lunch with other families. Bring your own picnic lunches for after the tour.
