About this event:
The second Friday of each month is Homeschool Friday at the SC Confederate Relic Room and Military. Columbia Mills Building at 301 Gervais Street in Columbia. Sessions are at 10:00AM and 11:00AM (the same lesson is taught both hours) and last approximately one hour each. The programs are geared toward students of all ages and include lectures and activities. Topics for this school year’s sessions are listed below, along with a printer-friendly version.
This year’s Homeschool Fridays will each focus on the life of a great American. Some are local, some national figures; most span more than one conflict, and all provide valuable insights into historical events and lessons for our daily lives.
Are you using our resources regularly, to enrich your history lessons? Are your students going the extra mile to learn history? Ask about our Student Recognition program and end-of-the-year awards ceremony!
