Teen Drop-offs: A Policy Exception
Most REACH activities will specify that it is not a drop-off activity. We expect parents to stay and help facilitate most of the time. We are a support group, so we need parents to get involved and support each other. We always recommend the “Buddy System” with another REACH member.
However, some High School/Teen activities may be limited to teens-only (with no younger siblings). We know that parents cannot be in two places at once (attending a REACH teen-only activity and also caring for the younger siblings.) Also, Students may be allowed to drive themselves to the activities. It becomes unnecessary for parents to drive their teens around.
So, some teen-only activities will permit teens to attend without parent. Prior permission from the host/chaperone is required. In order to ensure a direct line of communications and safe environment, please use this form to obtain permission from the REACH volunteer/chaperone and the Executive Board.
